The Maria Montessori School Art Program provides students from Casa to Elementary with a unique and enthralling art experience. The program has three main areas of focus. First to provide the children with the artistic skills needed to create artwork. Second to give the students a glimpse into the world of the Masters and an understanding of Art History. And finally, most importantly inspiring students to create and express their own ideas through Art.

The Maria Montessori Art program is also embedded in the curriculum, allowing areas of study and interest, to be explored and expanded through the arts. Learning to draw a bear becomes an opportunity to teach the children about bears and the wonder of hibernation. This embedded, thematic approach deepens and enriches the child's experience and education.

The Maria Montessori School has an art studio especially designed to deliver this program. The space is like a sanctuary for the students. It is a place they come to be inspired to learn, to imagine and to create.
